I Dreamed of You, Transylvania* is an exploration of cultural identity through the eyes of an adoptee. It raises the question of what it means to belong when growing up in a culture different from the one into which you were born. In this project, the filmmaker becomes both subject and narrator, drawing on her own experiences to address questions of ethnicity and identity.

This is a mixed media project where I combine archival material with new photography, text and film.
